My Thesis Nightmare

During my last year in univerity of Abuja where I was Studing statistics and it was time for my thesisa I had a very strict adviser who ensure that i gave a concise account of wahtever topic i presentedii presented three topics of which my adviser asked me tp take one as my thesis topic.
My adviser asked me to get data so that we acn examine it and he would reccommend a topic i was to write on .stattistics been a very quantitative course that deals with the collection of data and analysing of data/ so i went to a coca-cola depot very close to the university to get the data indicatindg the sales of its products over the last one year
The management after listening to what I had to say gave the data indicating sales over the last one yearperiod to me .I collected this data and took it to my adviser and he asked me to present a topic on this data and i. presented a topic on time series analysis titled"TIME SERIES ANALYSIS OF SALES DATA ON COCA-COLA PRODUCTS IN ABUJA, NIGERIA". time series is a sequence of observations which occur at certain periods which are collcted at equally spaced intervals.i

n fact it is very useful in forecast and is very complex course in statistics.whan I began my adviser did not say that there was anything wrong with what I was writng .Alas ,I was initially writing on descriptive statistics
Three weeks to the defence of the thesis by the students to the external supervisors appointed by the senate of the universty the unexpected happened as my adviser said that all I had written were rubbish.He said that chapters 1-3 were not accepted that I should write on inferential statistics by then I had written 4 chapters out of the required 5
what were I to do?it was time to defend this thesis and this egghead was saying I had written rubbish.besides I had spent lots of money on typed copies nad the transcript
When there is problem that is when we distinguish the erudite from the illiterate .How a person sees and deals with his problems indicate the level of education he has obtain .Well i soliloquised "I WILL SUCCEeD AND THIS BARRIER WILL BE REMOVED"
Well I wrote these chapters again on inferential statistics which dealt with forecasting the quantities of coke,sprite and fanta to be sold by the depot.
I was one of the last students to defend the thesis and I answred all the questions forwa rded to me to the utmost astonishment of my adviser
Education is a precious gift for it enables a person to realise himself fully and knowing how to deal with his proiblems
